i had too much fun boogie boarding for too many hours. when it came time to retire to the waterless air, there was no hiding my lobster like skin. it was painful. at any rate, this picture is not of yaidzu. because yaidzu is a small fishing village. this is 静波。shizunami.

950,000 people came to see this huge fireworks display in asakusa on saturday night. it was pretty interesting and japanese fireworks have unique shapes that i have never seen anywhere else. unfortunately, i wasn't able to capture that in these photos though
